The waters of baptism signify both death and resurrection. When a believer enters into the water, that is a burial. When this believer emerges from the water, that is a resurrection. If we have this picture in view when we speak of baptism, we will realize that baptism is a tremendously significant step in the completion of our experience of God’s salvation.
